Junior Police Academy
Applications are now open for the next Junior Police Academy.
The academy will begin on Monday, June 10th thru Thursday, June 20th, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. concluding with a graduation ceremony on Thursday, June 20th at 6:30 p.m.
Students that are accepted into the academy must attend an orientation meeting on June 6th at 6:30 p.m. at the Waco Police Department located at 3115 Pine Avenue. Both student and parent/guardian must attend this orientation to be eligible for the academy.
Deadline to turn in application and parent consent forms is Monday, May 10th, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.

Who is Eligible?
- Applicants who will be attending high school grades 9th to 12th
- Must not have any criminal offenses higher than a Class C misdemeanor.
- Applicants with any misdemeanor higher than a Class C, felony offense and/or on probation or parole are not eligible.
All applicants will be subject to a criminal background check prior to acceptance.
