Make Smoke Alarms Work for You This Fire Prevention Week

Most of us don’t realize that we have just two minutes to escape a home fire. Roughly two-thirds of residential fire deaths occur in homes with no smoke alarms or non–working smoke alarms, primarily due to missing or expired batteries. This year for Fire Prevention Week, make smoke alarms work for you!

Property Deed Workshop

October 12, 2024

Join us for a free property deed workshop from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, October 12 at Dewey Community Center. This workshop will provide the community members with the opportunity for free Transfer on Death Deeds (TODD) & Lady Bird Deeds with help from Greater Waco Legal Services. Legal professionals and law students will be on hand to provide guidance throughout the process.

All pets of City of Waco residents can receive:
• Free Microchips
• Free Rabies Vaccine (if animal is already spayed/neutered)
• Free DAPP (Distemper Adenovirus Parvo Parainfluenza) Vaccination
$10 Vaccinations if not spayed/neutered or out of city limits
