We know it's not news, but Texas heat can be brutal in the summer. Staying hydrated is key! Watch this fun video to help you drink smart and beat the heat. Take care of yourself, your children, and your pets from the high temperatures.
Thank you to our employees in the Streets Division for helping us with this hydration video.
During the extreme Texas heat, it is too hot to walk your pets in the day on pavement. On a hot day, pavement can reach up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. An easy way to check if it's a good time to walk your dog is to touch the pavement with the back of your hands for seven seconds. If it's too hot for your hands, then it's too hot for your dog's paws.
