Citizen's Fire Academy Registration Published on August 14, 2025 The application for the 2025 class is now closed. The Waco Fire Department is excited to host its fifth annual Citizen's Fire Academy! McLennan County residents will learn about being a firefighter through classroom instructions and hands-on demonstrations. City of Waco Submits Proposed 2025-2026 Budget to Waco City Council Published on August 08, 2025 The proposed budget for fiscal year 2025–2026 is now available. The new budget maintains the current tax rate and includes a modest 0.1% increase over the previous year. The average City of Waco homeowner and utility bill customer can expect to see an increase of $11.18 for City services.
