Road closed sign and barricade

The City of Waco continues making significant progress on the Speegleville Road Improvement Project. To help minimize disruptions once the school year begins, construction crews are accelerating work through this phase of the project while school is out of session. We appreciate your patience as these improvements move forward.

Upcoming Road Closures

To safely complete construction, the following closures will be in effect:

  • Beginning July 13: Oak Road will be closed between Speegleville Road and Sunrise Lane.
  • Beginning July 27: The closure will expand to include the entire intersection of Speegleville Road and Oak Road.

These closures are expected to remain in place until approximately August 8, weather permitting.

Drivers should expect delays, follow all posted detour signs, and allow extra travel time when traveling through the area.

Thank you for your patience as we continue investing in improvements that will enhance safety and infrastructure along the Speegleville Road corridor.
