Waco City Council Adopts Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Published on September 15, 2024 On Tuesday, August 27, Waco City Council approved the budget for Fiscal Year 2024 – 2025. The new budget maintains the current property tax rate and reduces tax-supported expenses while still providing employee salary increases and delivering the same quality of core City services. Eichelberger Bridge Update Published on September 13, 2024 The roadway on Eichelberger Bridge is now reopened to the public after damage from flooding earlier this spring. Public Works crews cleaned the roadway, re-established road ditches, and performed a structural analysis to make sure the bridge was safe for public use. Bagby Ave Road Closure Published on September 13, 2024 Starting Monday, September 16, both lanes of Bagby Avenue from Sunnydell Avenue to Richter Avenue will be closed through Friday, September 20. Message boards are posted to notify drivers of the detour route for through traffic.
