What a summer! Readers of all ages joined the Waco-McLennan County Library for the 2026 Summer Reading Challenge, spending the summer reading, participating in programs and completing activities throughout the community.

  • 4,487 participants (+7%)
  • 117,376 days of reading logged (+22.5%)
  • 2,193 participants completed the challenge (+22.1%)
  • 6,236 program participants (+12.3%)
  • 12,092 prizes redeemed
  • 2,111 activities completed
