McLennan County Rural Transit

The McLennan County Rural Transit District is operated by Waco Transit System and provides transportation to anyone in the rural areas of McLennan County to improve access to jobs, education, healthcare, and more!

How Does it Work?

Trips can be arranged by calling Waco Transit System at least 24 hours in advance at (254) 750-1620 or 877-875-RIDE (7433). You can schedule your trip up to 2 weeks in advance. Same-day trips are $5 for a one-way trip, with limited availability.

What are Hours of Operation?

Service is available from 5:15 a.m. to 7:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 6:15 a.m. to 8:15 p.m., on Saturday. (Observed Holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas.)

What Does it Cost?

Ride anywhere within McLennan County for only $3 each way, and $5 each way for trips to adjacent counties. (Fees also apply for guests.)

Service Area
