Bridge Street Plaza is a vibrant public gathering space in East Waco that serves as a symbolic and physical connection between the city’s historic east side and downtown. Opened in 2021 as part of a broader revitalization effort, the roughly two-acre plaza — often called “Waco’s Front Porch” — features an amphitheater, open green space, walking paths, seating areas, and room for food trucks and vendors. Located near the iconic Waco Suspension Bridge, the plaza plays a key role in reconnecting communities across the Brazos River while honoring the area’s rich cultural history. Designed to host concerts, farmers markets, festivals, and community events, Bridge Street Plaza provides a welcoming place for residents and visitors to gather, celebrate, and experience the spirit of East Waco.
