Beautification, Arts & Culture

cultural image header

The City of Waco Beautification, Arts & Culture Program (BAC) is committed to enhancing the aesthetics, vibrancy, and quality of life within Waco. Through strategic planning, partnerships, and community engagement, the program fosters a sense of place, celebrates local culture, and beautifies our city.

Beautification Projects

BAC collaborates with city departments like Solid Waste and Public Works and nonprofits such as Keep Waco Beautiful to enhance Waco’s beauty. Together, we improve public right-of-ways, streetscapes, and neighborhoods through beautification efforts like litter removal, native landscaping, and tree planting, making Waco a more attractive place to live and visit.

Arts & Culture Projects

The City of Waco works with community partners to celebrate Waco's unique heritage, history, and traditions through the integration of public art and placemaking initiatives. Key to these endeavors is providing opportunities to showcase the talent and work of local artists and creatives.
