About

Teen Services include events and resources for teens in middle and high school (ages 11 to 17) as well as their parents and educators. The Library offers books, technology, events, and a librarian specializing in teen services to encourage exploration of resources and subjects to support formal learning and encourage curiosity to last a lifetime.

Resources for Teens

Volunteer

Teens are invited to join the library team as a Library Teen Intern! Internships will take place Sept. 2026- Dec. 2026. This is an unpaid internship that provides volunteer hours and professional experience. Teens are invited to apply for multiple internships, the application period will close Aug 14. 

To be qualified to be a teen intern, teens must… 

  • Be ages 12-17 
  • Ability to consistently attend “shifts” at the Library for 4 months 
  • Turn in virtual application here beginning Aug 1. 
  • Interview with prospective library branch (scheduled by library) 
  • Turn in parent/guardian permission document (provided after intern selection) 

Teens must complete a waiver each year and branches will determine if they will continue the internship or not each period.
