Herring Avenue Bridge Update: Westbound Closures to Begin May 26

Construction continues on the Herring Avenue Bridge over the Brazos River. Starting Tuesday, May 26, the westbound side of the bridge from N. MLK Jr. Blvd to N. University Parks Drive will be closed for about one month. Once the westbound side is complete, the closure will shift to the eastbound side for about two months. Celebrate Public Works Week from May 16–23 starting with the annual Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Day on Saturday, May 16, where residents of Waco and neighboring cities can safely dispose of hazardous materials. Other activities include the Meet the Machines event and a citywide scavenger hunt.
