Grants
The City of Waco receives federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The City is a direct recipient of the grants below.
What is the goal?
Activities undertaken must meet one of the three following HUD National Objectives:
- Benefit low- and moderate-income persons
- Elimination of slum or blight
- Meet an urgent community need

What is the Fair Housing Act?
The Fair Housing Act protects buyers and renters from housing discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, gender, disability, and familial status (including anticipation that children may become part of a household).
How do I report housing discrimination?
If an individual believes they have experienced housing discrimination, they can file a complaint with their local Fair Housing Officer.
HOME-ARP Draft Allocation Plan
The City of Waco is providing a 18-day public comment period regarding the submission of its proposed Draft Allocation Plan. The total amount of grant funding to be allocated for the HOME-ARP Program is $2,539,867. The full Draft Allocation Plan is available below and at our local libraries.

Annual Action Plan
