Epidemiology
Epidemiology is a branch of science that deals with the study of the incidence, distribution, and control of disease in a population. The Epidemiology Division works to protect and promote the health of the residents of McLennan County.

Nursing staff are available to help monitor and track communicable diseases reported in McLennan County. The department is trained to respond quickly to prevent potential communicable disease outbreaks by holding on-site immunization clinics, providing medications or simply providing education and training on how to prevent further spread of a disease.
Influenza - Local Flu Information
The Health District receives reports from hospitals, clinics, laboratories, school, nursing homes, and other healthcare partners on the number of flu and flu-like illnesses on a weekly basis year-round. This information is calculated and reported to the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Perinatal Hepatitis B Prevention Program
