Support Victims of Crime in Waco and McLennan County! The Victim Services unit relies heavily on its volunteers. Victim Services volunteers go out into the community when a crisis hits, comforting those who have fallen victim or are experiencing distress. The next Victim Services Volunteer Academy begins in April. Apply now!

River Trail Closure: From Jackson Avenue to Baylor Law School

The City of Waco will soon begin improvements to the Brazos River Riverwalk in the area ranging from Jackson Avenue to the Baylor Law School. As part of this project, the Riverwalk will be closed in the areas of the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, I-35, Foster Pavilion and the Riverfront Lofts.

Federal Grant Funding Available for Qualified Organizations

City of Waco Housing & Community Development invites qualified organizations to submit applications to receive anticipated federal funding from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). Applications will be accepted from through April 3, 2026.
