Waco City Manager Ryan Holt submitted the proposed budget for fiscal year 2026-2027 to Waco City Council at the August 4, 2026, City Council meeting.

West Waco Library to Temporarily Close for Flooring Renovation Aug. 30

Notice About 2026 Tax Rates

This notice concerns the 2026 property tax rates for City of Waco. This notice provides information about two tax rates used in adopting the current tax year's tax rate. The no-new-revenue tax rate would Impose the same amount of taxes as last year if you compare properties taxed in both years.

Public Hearing on Tax Increase

A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED TAX RATE WILL BE HELD ON September 1, 2026 AT
6:00 PM AT the Bosque Theater in the City of Waco Convention Center, 100 Washington Avenue, Waco,
Texas 76701. The proposed tax rate is not greater than the voter-approval tax rate. As a result, City of Waco is not required
to hold an election at which voters may accept or reject the proposed tax rate.

Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2026-2027

City of Waco Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 is available for public inspection. In accordance with Texas Local Government Code, Section 102.005, any person may view the Proposed Budget.
