About Neighborhood Engagement

The City of Waco Neighborhood Engagement Department is a three-person team that provides resources to neighborhood associations and acts as a liaison between residents and City departments. These achievements would not be possible without the collaboration between the City and the dedicated volunteers who make Waco's neighborhood associations run. The commitment from our neighbors is essential to the success of these programs and the vibrancy of our communities.

About NUSA

NUSA is a national, non-profit organization that builds and strengthens both neighborhood associations and the public and private organizations that support them — like the City of Waco. NUSA's Neighborhood of the Year awards have been presented since 1984 as a collective "thank you" for the hard work of the neighborhoods and are the only national awards given on an ongoing basis to neighborhood organizations.
