Sul Ross Skate Park

Sul Ross Skate Park (500 N. 14th St.) is conveniently located off Waco Drive. The park was built in 2015 and features ramps, stairs, ground bowls and rails. The park also includes a playground, walking trail, pavilion and restrooms.

Park Rules

Park hours are 6 a.m. to midnight

  • Pets must remain leashed, and please clean up after your pets
  • Do not disturb, damage or remove wildlife, trees, plants or property within the park
  • Facility is designed for the safe operation or skateboards only. Other uses, including bicycles, are prohibited.
  • Keep wheeled activities out of the pavilion area and restrooms

Prohibited within the park:

  • Parking or driving on the grass
  • Alcohol and drugs
  • Discharge of firearms, including paintball guns or air rifles
  • Overnight parking or camping
  • Sales activity or solicitation of funds
  • Littering or dumping
  • Damage to any property
  • Loud speakers or amplified sound
  • Open fires, except in designated grills or fire pits
  • The disruption or prevention of orderly conduct


This facility is designed for the safe operation of skateboards and is not supervised. The City of Waco assumes no liability for loss, damage, or any kind of injury or accident to people or property. Please report misuse and non-sanctioned equipment, materials or modifications. 

  • Know your own limits and abilities 
  • Personal protective gear is recommended
  • Share the park and be aware of others 
  • Inspect riding surface for damage, moisture and debris prior to use 
  • Avoid use during maintenance periods and unsafe weather
