Martin Luther King, Jr. Park (101 S. M.L.K., Jr. Blvd.) sits next to the historic Waco Suspension Bridge and features shade trees, a paved walking trail and scenic views of the Brazos River. The park also includes a small overlook tower, which visitors can climb for a better vantage point.

Park Rules

Park hours are 6 a.m. to midnight

  • Pets must remain leashed, and please clean up after your pets
  • Do not disturb, damage or remove wildlife, trees, plants or property within the park

Prohibited within the park:

  • Parking or driving on the grass
  • Alcohol and drugs
  • Discharge of firearms, including paintball guns or air rifles
  • Overnight parking or camping
  • Sales activity or solicitation of funds
  • Littering or dumping
  • Damage to any property
  • Loud speakers or amplified sound
  • Open fires, except in designated grills or fire pits
  • The disruption or prevention of orderly conduct
