City of Waco Offices Closed for the Holidays

City of Waco offices will be closed on Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25 for Christmas and on Thursday, January 1 for New Year’s Day. Details on closures for other City of Waco services and contracted partners are included below.
- On Wednesday, December 24, gray waste carts and blue recycling carts will be collected as usual. Cobbs Recycling Center will be closed. However, the landfill will remain open.
- Residents with a Thursday, December 25 trash pickup day will have their gray waste carts and blue recycling carts collected earlier the day before on Wednesday, December 24. Cobbs Recycling Center and the landfill will be closed.
- Residents with a Thursday, January 1 trash pickup day will have their gray waste carts and green yard waste carts collected earlier the day before on Wednesday, December 31. Cobbs Recycling Center and the landfill will be closed.
The MyWaco Central call center and drive-thru (425 Franklin Ave.) will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, Thursday, December 25, and Thursday, January 1. City of Waco utility customers can pay their bill 24/7 by phone at (254) 299-2489 or online at mywacoaccount.com.
All Waco-McLennan County Library locations will close at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23 and will remain closed on Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25.

Dewey, Doris Miller, and South Waco Community Centers will all be closed on Wednesday, December 24, Thursday, December 25, and Thursday, January 1.
The Waco Mammoth National Monument will be closed on Thursday, December 25 and Thursday, January 1.
Cottonwood Creek Golf Course will only be closed on Thursday, December 25.
The Waco-McLennan County Public Health District will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, Thursday, December 25, and Thursday, January 1.
Pet Circle Regional Animal Center will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, Thursday, December 25, and Thursday, January 1. Animal protection officers will remain available.
Waco Transit System will be closed on Thursday, December 25 and Thursday, January 1.
The Waco Welcome Center (323 S. Sixth Street) will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, Thursday, December 25, and Thursday, January 1.
Cameron Park Zoo will be closed on Thursday, December 25 and Thursday, January 1.
The Texas Ranger Museum & Hall of Fame will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, Thursday, December 25, and Thursday, January 1.
