Mayor's Summer Reading Challenge

The Waco-McLennan County Library is excited to announce the launch of its annual Mayor’s Summer Reading Challenge. Registration opened on Thursday, May 1 at all library locations and online at wacolibrary.org. This year’s challenge, that runs June 1 to July 31, encourages readers of all ages to log their reading each day, earn prizes, and discover the joy of reading all summer long.

During the general election on Saturday, May 3, George Chase won the District Five seat for Waco City Council. Isabel Lozano and returning Councilmember Darius Ewing ran unopposed and will serve Districts Two and Four respectively.

Melissa Sheldon Named Animal Shelter Professional of the Year
