Plastic (all colors)

  • #1 plastic: drink bottles
  • #2 hard plastic: containers

Glass

  • Bottles and food jars: clear, brown, blue and green
    No windows, coffee table glass or dishes.

Metal

  • Steel or "tin" cans
  • Aluminum cans

Paper

  • Cardboard
  • Magazines
  • Mail
    No food contaminated cardboard, such as paper plates and take-out pizza boxes.

Cooking oil

Household batteries and CFL (curly) light bulbs

  • No Lithium Ion or car batteries

Packing Styrofoam

  • No food containers.

Electronic Waste

  • Computers
  • Cell phones
  • Chargers and cables

For Waco Residents (no additional fee)

Bring a copy of your Waco Water Bill or the electronic version of your bill (on your phone) that is within 30 days of its due date and includes a Waco residential service address with Waco residential trash service charge.

Bring a photo ID. ID address must match the service address to receive residential services.

  • Used motor oil, antifreeze and oil filters up to 5 gallons per month.
  • Latex paint (up to 5 gallons per month).
  • 4 trips of bulky and brush waste. Bulky and brush may not exceed eight (8) cubic yards per visit (about a full-sized pickup truck load) State law requires that loose loads be tarped. Bulky and brush waste drop-off is set up to be self-service. Bulky & Brush Bays close at 4:45pm each day to allow staff to sweep the area prior to closing.

For Waco Residents (with a fee)

  • Refrigerators and other appliances containing Freon must have a label or tag indicating that the refrigerant has been removed by a certified technician. We can remove the refrigerant for a $15 fee per appliance. Appliances are recycled and do not count toward your bulky waste drop-offs.

  • Tires: A maximum of four tires, off the rim, can be recycled per visit. Size Limit: 20”, no commercial or industrial tires. Fees vary with size. $3.50/tire for 15” or smaller; $6.00/tire for 20” or smaller. All tires must be off the rims for disposal. Most local tire shops will remove the tire from the rim for a fee. Tires are recycled and do not count toward your bulky waste drop-offs.

    For tires larger than 20": Contact local OTR tire dealers. Often they will take larger tires with a fee.

Fees will not be collected on-site, but will be added to your next utility bill.

  • Speakers in wooden cabinets
  • “Scrapped out” televisions or electronics
  • Plastic bags (all kinds)
  • Food waste or household garbage

HEB, Walmart, Lowes, Target & Kohls locations will take the following:

  • Shopping bags
  • Produce bags
  • Bread bags
  • Dry cleaning bags
  • Newspaper bags
