Fire Station 15 is one of the newest additions to the Waco Fire Department, built to meet the needs of the rapidly growing West Waco area. The more than 8,200-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility represents an investment of more than $6 million in public safety and emergency response.
The station features three apparatus bays, individual sleeping quarters for up to eight firefighters per shift, advanced decontamination areas, an apparatus exhaust removal system, and industrial washing machines designed to properly clean firefighters' protective gear after emergency incidents.
Station 15 is staffed by one captain, two lieutenants, three engineers, and six firefighters, with a minimum of three personnel on duty at all times to respond to emergencies.
By strategically locating Station 15 in one of Waco's fastest-growing areas, the department can reduce response times, improve service to residents and businesses, and continue its commitment to providing rapid, professional emergency response throughout the community.
