Station 14 is one of the newest companies in the Waco Fire Department. In 1998, the Waco City Council approved annexation of land along Highway 84 between Woodway and McGregor, creating a need for expanded fire protection. The city purchased a site a few blocks off Highway 84 on Speegleville Road, and in February 2006, Station 14 officially opened at 5401 Speegleville Road. Today, this growing area is served by Engine 14 and Brush 14.
