Fire Station 11

Fire Station 11

Fire Station 11 was established to support the growing industrial development in North Waco, opening on March 9, 1981, at 7820 Mars Drive across from the M&M Mars manufacturing facility. The station was built in response to the construction of the nearby Levi Strauss distribution center and served the area from that location for nearly two decades.

As Waco continued to grow, the need for a larger, more strategically located facility became clear. In March 1998, the Waco City Council approved the purchase of land on Texas Central Parkway for a new Station 11. The modern facility was dedicated on July 20, 2000, and remains an important part of the department's emergency response network.

Today, Fire Station 11 houses Engine 11, Truck 11, and the department's Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) Unit, providing fire suppression, technical rescue support, and specialized hazardous materials response for the City of Waco and surrounding communities.
