The city manager has the ultimate responsibility for the budget, day-to-day operations, personnel, and directly overseeing the following departments: General Administration, Finance and Communications and Marketing.
Bradley Ford, City Manager of Waco, began his career at the City of Fort Worth, as a Planner in the Police Department. After a promotion to Senior Planner, he was involved in patrol allocation, performance measurement and led efforts to increase the department’s use of GIS and analytics to support policing.
In 2008, he began work at the City of Burleson as the Planning Official. During nearly 9 years in Burleson, he held various positions in the economic and community development areas, including most recently serving as their Deputy City Manager.
Ford received his Bachelor of Political Science from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2003. He received a Masters in City and Regional Planning from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2007.
He is a current member in the International City Management Association (ICMA) and the Texas City Management Association (TCMA). He is a past Board Member for the Burleson Area Chamber of Commerce and the Burleson Opportunity Fund. He has spoken at a number of state and national conferences with specific interest in using analytics in local government.
Bradley spends his free time at home with his wife of 20 years and three children. He enjoys being involved in his children’s lives, playing recreational sports, and amateur wood-working.
