Sanger Heights

Sanger Heights is one of Waco's oldest neighborhoods, and it remains one of the most diverse and attractive locations in the city. From the tree-lined, historic Colcord Avenue to the award-winning "Street of Dreams" on 15th Street, something exciting is definitely happening in Sanger Heights. Go for a jog around Seley Park, grab a burger at the World Cup Cafe, or browse one-of-a-kind antiques at Show & Tell—there is something for everyone here in this unique urban village.

Purpose

Sanger Heights Neighborhood Association was organized to engage, unite, and mobilize neighborhood residents and stakeholders to make Sanger Heights a neighborhood of choice where people want to live, work, and play. The goals of the neighborhood association are to:

  • Develop a distinctive, positive neighborhood image,
  • Create constructive relationship-building experiences among neighbor,
  • Raise our area’s visibility within the Realtor community,
  • Attract more businesses that improve the neighborhood, and
  • Work with the City of Waco on code enforcement.

Meeting Information

General membership meetings are currently held on the second Monday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Good Neighbor House, 2301 Colcord Avenue.

Membership Dues:

Membership is open to anyone who has an interest in the goals of the neighborhood association. However, voting membership is only for anyone living or operating a business within the neighborhood boundaries. Current annual dues are:

  • Individuals - $15
  • Households - $25
  • Nonprofits - $25
  • Businesses - $50
