Do you have a high school student passionate about your community? Apply today for the Waco Youth Council! The City of Waco is seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, and motivated teens to join the 2025-26 Waco Youth Council. This is more than a student program — it’s a chance to impact your community, build leadership skills, and represent your peers as ambassadors for the City.

Membership

The Waco Youth Council serves as a Youth Advisory Board to the Waco City Council and consists of 17 to 25 members with at least one representative from each of the high schools in Waco.

Meetings & Activities

Regular Youth Council meetings are held on the first and third Mondays of each month from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The Youth Council also participates in other activities, meetings and community service projects in addition to their regular meeting schedule.
