The Victim Services unit relies heavily on its volunteers. Victim Services volunteers go out into the community when a crisis hits, comforting those who have fallen victim or are experiencing distress and may need assistance or someone to lean on. You’ll not only be helping those in Waco but the entire county. The next Victim Services Volunteer Academy begins in April. Classes will run from April 13 to 23 and are held Monday to Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Waco Police Department. Even if you can’t make the April session, we encourage you to still apply. The Victim Services Unit is always accepting applications.
