Traffic Advisory: Lane Closures on S. New Road (January 5–13, 2026)

Due to ongoing sewer main repairs, traffic impacts are expected along S. New Road beginning January 5 through January 13, 2026.

Location:

1401 S. New Road at Speight
Affected area: 1200–1600 S. New Road, near Kendrick Elementary and the WISD football field

Traffic Impacts:

  • Northbound and southbound traffic will be reduced from two lanes to one lane in each direction
  • Southbound left-hand turns at Speight will be closed
  • Motorists may experience delays, especially during peak school and commuter hours

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use alternate routes when possible.
