The Baylor Community Garden

The Baylor Community Garden has become a hub of environmental education, community engagement, and sustainable practices. Since its revitalization in August 2023 with support from the Environmental Humanities Minor, the garden has emerged as a living laboratory for students, faculty, and staff to explore the interconnectedness of nature, culture, and community.

The Baylor Community Garden is located just off Baylor University’s campus at the intersection of South Ninth Street and James Avenue.
Every semester, with the help of student projects and volunteers, the garden grows hundreds of pounds of produce for The Store, Baylor’s food pantry for students, to alleviate campus food insecurity.

As a partner of the SCRAP Collective, The Baylor Community Garden is committed to environmental stewardship and building community partnerships to support marginalized communities.
