Drainage Fee Map
The city charges a drainage utility fee to help manage rainwater runoff. This fee is based on how much of a property is covered by surfaces like roofs, driveways, and pavement (called impervious surfaces) that do not absorb water.
How the Fee is Measured:
- Fees are calculated using a standard unit called an ERU (Equivalent Residential Unit).
- One ERU equals 2,633 square feet of impervious surface, which is the average for a typical single-family home in Waco.
