City of Waco Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 is available for public inspection. In accordance with Texas Local Government Code, Section 102.005, any person may view the Proposed Budget on the City’s website, at the Waco City Secretary’s Office (located in Waco City Hall, at 300 Austin Avenue, Waco, Texas, 76701), or at any of the Waco-McLennan County Library locations.

All interested persons including without limitation the Taxpayers, Property Owners, Residents and Citizens of the City of Waco are hereby given notice that a Public Hearing on the Proposed Budget for the City of Waco Fiscal Year 2025-2026 will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Waco Convention Center Bosque Theater, 100 Washington Avenue, Waco, Texas, 76701. Council Members may attend remotely by videoconference in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act. All interested persons may appear at the hearing and speak for or against the proposed budget.

THIS BUDGET WILL RAISE MORE TOTAL PROPERTY TAXES THAN LAST YEAR'S BUDGET BY $4,400,184 WHICH IS A 3.86% INCREASE FROM LAST YEAR’S BUDGET, AND OF THAT AMOUNT, $2,660,068 IS TAX REVENUE TO BE RAISED FROM NEW PROPERTY ADDED TO THE TAX ROLL THIS YEAR.
