On Tuesday, September 9, Mayor Jim Holmes presented a positive outlook on the City of Waco’s progress at the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce’s State of the City & County event.
"I will start my State of the City Address by saying that the state of the city is strong," said Mayor Holmes. "Because Waco is not standing still. We are moving forward. Our story is one of growth, resilience, and opportunity. We are a City of momentum."
Mayor Holmes assured that Waco’s financial foundation remains solid and aligns with the needs of our community focusing on best-in-class services, improving our infrastructure, improving our downtown experience, enhancing our quality of life, and incorporating thoughtful economic development.
"Together, we are building a safer city, a stronger economy, a vibrant downtown, and neighborhoods where families can thrive," said Mayor Holmes. "I love Waco. I am proud of Waco."
