Spring Holiday

Friday, April 7th, Solid Waste Offices and Cobbs Recycling Center will be closed. The Landfill will be closed to the public but open will accept franchise haulers until 4:30 p.m.

Friday's waste will be collected on Wednesday, April 5th

Saturday, April 8th, Cobbs Recycling Center will be closed.

About Us

  • We provide waste management services for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional garbage collection and disposal.
  • A city-owned and operated 237-acre landfill is managed for the end disposal of wastes originating in Waco and the surrounding region.
  • We are a self-supporting entity not funded by city tax dollars, funds come from solid waste service fees paid by customers.

District Cleanups

District clean-ups provide the opportunity for residential customers to place unwanted items at their curbs on their district’s date beginning at 7 a.m.

  • Bagged or boxed trash
  • Unusable furniture
  • Mattresses/box springs
  • Toys/swing sets/ misc. junk
  • Un-repairable items (bicycles, BBQ grills, etc)
  • Bagged grass, leaves, plant trimmings
  • Brush Piles

Unacceptable Materials

  • Aerosol cans
  • Antifreeze
  • Construction project debris
  • Food waste
  • Gasoline
  • Hazardous/medical waste
  • Liquids
  • Oil
  • Paint/paint-related materials
  • Pesticides
  • Pool chemicals
  • Dirt, rock, concrete
  • Pressurized tanks (i.e. propane/oxygen/helium)
  • Tires
  • Transmission fluid

Guidelines

  • Place your items at the curb no later than AM.
  • Do not park vehicles in front of piles.
  • Place piles 5 feet from obstructions.
  • Separate the bulky pile from the brush pile.
