More than $5 million in infrastructure improvements are coming to the Waco area!
Texas Congressman Pete Sessions held a press conference on Monday, February 13, 2023, alongside Waco Mayor Dillon Meek and McLennan County Judge Scott Felton to announce federal funding for three major infrastructure projects.
Funding includes infrastructure improvements for the Speegleville Road Bridge at the Middle Bosque River and a Lake Waco embankment study to find solutions for the ongoing stabilization issues on Lake Shore Drive.
The third project will include design and engineering work for the Bull Hide Regional Waste Water Plant Reclamation Project to increase water treatment capacity for the growing number of residents and businesses in Waco and our partner cities.
The funds are now appropriated and signed into law; however, as of right now, there is no set date on when construction will begin.
