Adopted Impact Fees for the City of Waco

The Impact Fees ordinance was adopted by Waco City Council on November 3, 2021. The effective date is June 1, 2021.  

The Waco City Council held the following two work session meetings to discuss the Impact Fee ordinance prior to its adoption:

Capital Improvements Advisory Committee

The Capital Improvements Advisory Committee (CIAC) was appointed by Waco City Council on July 16, 2019, to (among other duties) advise the City of the need to prepare, revise, and/or update the land use assumptions, capital improvements plan, and impact fees. The CIAC consists of the twelve-member Plan Commission plus four ad hoc members.

The last CIAC meeting took place on Wednesday, September 28, 2020. Discussion focused on the Impact Fee Study - Maximum Fee Calculations and Policy Considerations.  Below is the video recording for that meeting.

The CIAC forwarded a letter with recommendations to Mayor Deaver and Waco City Council regarding the Impact Fee Study and Policy Considerations.
