This video conveys the latest information from Consultants FREESE | NICHOLS on development of IMPACT Fees for the City of Waco that will come into play for future new developments including water, sewer, and roadway infrastructure. This information is still going through the review process, so this is not the final product, but gives citizens an idea of how the fees are being developed.

Capital Improvements Advisory Committee and Next Steps

The Capital Improvements Advisory Committee (CIAC) was appointed by Waco City Council on July 16, 2019, to (among other duties) advise the City of the need to prepare, revise, and/or update the land use assumptions, capital improvements plan, and impact fees. The CIAC consists of the twelve-member Plan Commission plus four ad hoc members.

The most recent CIAC meeting took place on Wednesday, September 28, 2020. Discussion focused on the Impact Fee Study - Maximum Fee Calculations and Policy Considerations. View the PowerPoint presentation here. Below is the video recording for that meeting.

The CIAC forwarded a letter with recommendations to Mayor Deaver and Waco City Council regarding the Impact Fee Study and Policy Considerations. That recommendation can be viewed below.
