North East Riverside Neighborhood Association (NERNA) was established on July 26, 2013. NERNA’s vision is to create an enjoyable, livable, walkable, and sustainable neighborhood. Their mission is to improve our neighbors overall quality of life.

North East Riverside Neighborhood has a convenient central location in Waco.  The boundaries are within the city limits of Waco and the Brazos River on the East and West and E. Waco Drive and S. Loop Drive on the North and South.

Purpose of NERNA

  • To eliminate hunger, poverty, joblessness, homelessness, and diseases.
  • To be a nonprofit domestic entity.
  • To participate in positive and empowering activities.
  • To promote cultural awareness and cultural sensitivity.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Membership is open to all those who own or occupy a dwelling, operate a business, or are involved in an organization that operates within the NERNA boundaries, share an interest in our mission, vision, and goals, and pay their annual fees.

To Join: 
Send a check payable to “North East Riverside Neighborhood Association” to 228 Spring Street, Waco, TX 76704 along with your name, home address, email address and phone number. You may also complete a membership form and provide your membership dues at any NERNA meeting.

Meeting Information

Meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. each month on the second Thursday at East Waco Library, 901 Elm Ave, Waco, TX 76704.
