Waco City Council Meetings
The Business Sessions portion of the meeting is for City Council to act in their official capacity as the legislative body of the City; to make decisions, commitments or promises by a vote of the City Council upon a motion, resolution, or ordinance.
Business sessions are scheduled for 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of the month. The public is provided an opportunity to speak during the Business Session on a resolution, ordinance or public hearing, or during the public hearing of visitors under the rules governing public participation.
The Work Session portion of the meeting is intended to provide opportunities for council to study various issues, gather and analyze information, but does not take official action. A Work Session is designed to make regular business sessions more productive. The public may attend a work session but an opportunity to address the Council is only provided during the 6 p.m. business sessions.
Work Sessions are scheduled for 2 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of every month.
