Ordinance Amendments

Consider an ordinance amending Chapter 28 Zoning of the Code of Ordinances for the City of Waco creating a La Salle Avenue Corridor District and all accompanying regulating sections of the overlay district; and revising the boundaries of the College and University Neighborhoods District to remove properties for inclusion in the La Salle Avenue Corridor District.

Consider an ordinance amending Chapter 28 Zoning of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Waco by (1) amending Section 28-1 by revising the definitions for "Indoor recreational facility," "Outdoor recreational and amusement facility," and "Restaurant," and by adding a definition for "Theater"; (2) adding a new Section 28-252 to describe auditing requirements for these types of facilities, for theaters, and for restaurants; (3) amending Section 28-622 by adding outdoor recreation and amusement facility (those not adjacent to an R-zoned lot) and theaters, and by amending Golf Courses, as allowed uses by right in the C-2 District; and (4) amending Section 28-624 by deleting theaters and by adding outdoor recreational and amusement facility (those adjacent to R-zoned lots), as allowed uses by special permit in the C-2 District.
