This course will meet on MCC campus Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8 pm beginning January 12th and ending January 26th.

The most fascinating part of meteorology is severe weather. From tornadoes to hurricanes to blizzards, you will learn what kind of weather conditions lead to these kinds of events. How does a tornado form? Where to hurricanes come from? With Conley Isom, KXXV TV First Alert 25 meteorologist, you will go over radar data, mapping and computer model data from past events. You’ll also learn sever weather safety so you will be better prepared for Mother Nature’s worst. We’ll explore why storm chasing has increased in popularity, along with its dangers.
