The Mediterranean Diet is healthy and delicious. Learn how to plan menus and shop smart, focusing on veggies, lean proteins and healthy fats. Build health literacy skills and taste some healthy foods. The Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service gives us information to aim for a healthier lifestyle.

Kids Minecraft Club

Kids love Minecraft! If you've got Minecrafters in your house, bring them to the Library to play and explore the realm. Beginners are welcome or join us to show off your skills!

CTGS Genealogy Beginners Class

The Genealogy Beginners Class is at the East Waco Library! Our very own Bill Buckner will cover topics like using genealogy forms, basic records and Internet sources. The class is a great way to kick off your genealogy exploration. The program is co-sponsored by the Central Texas Genealogical Society.

Waco’s Got Game: Telestrations

Pull up a chair for some throwback fun! The whole family can stop by to play Telestrations, the classic sketch, pass and guess game that will have you laughing out loud!

Defunct Counties in the U.S. : a Genealogical Primer, a CTGS program

If a county changes its name, moves across the state line or gets absorbed by other counties, what happens to the information about people who lived there? The Genealogy Center's Bill Buckner will present information about these defunct counties. The people who lived there got married, divorced, were born and died there, and they might have been your ancestors! Finding this elusive information might lead to a family history research breakthrough.
