Reduction of Usage No Longer Necessary for Customers in Hwy 84 Corridor and West of Hewitt Dr. Area

Waco, Texas (March 24, 2020) – The City of Waco is no longer requesting that customers, in the Highway 84 corridor and areas west of Hewitt Dr., reduce water usage as much as possible and stop all outdoor irrigation today.

Replacement of the leaking expansion joint inside the Ritchie Rd. Elevated Storage Facility is complete. The work began this morning and proceeded quickly, without unforeseen problems or delays. The tank has been returned to service ahead of schedule.

The City of Waco and the Water Utility Services Department thanks customers for their cooperation and understanding during this repair of vital water system infrastructure.
