Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)

Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) is coming to the Waco Water System!

So, what is AMI?

AMI is an architecture for automated, two-way communication between a utility meter and a utility company.  It's more than just electronic meters or automated meter reading. It's an entire system. The goal of an AMI is to provide the water utility with timely data about water usage and allow customers to make more informed decisions about how they use water.

Find out more about AMI and what it means for you by attending one of the scheduled public meetings.
