The Waco Mammoth Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) foundation, was established in 2004 as a collaborative effort by the City of Waco, Baylor University, and the Waco community to support development of the Waco Mammoth National Monument by:

• Encouraging the education of students, teachers and the general public interested in the history and science of the Waco mammoths.
• Developing and maintaining museum facilities and programs concerning the Waco mammoths.
• Preserving Waco Mammoth National Monument and related fossils in perpetuity.
