Cooking Oil & Grease Disposal Information

We’re asking you not to dump cooking oil and grease down the drain. Waco has drop-off stations where you can take your oil and grease. This is how it works:

  • Collect your used cooking oil in a sealed container at home
  • When your container is full or you would just like to get rid of the grease, take your container to one of our five Used Cooking Oil Recycling Drop-off Stations
  • Pour your used cooking oil into the marked drop-off station container

There is no cost to you and there are five stations located around the city. See below for locations and times:

Small quantities of cooking oil can be mixed with kitty litter, doubled bagged, and placed in your trash cart. Please do not pour cooking oil or grease down the drain; it can clog pipes and the City’s sewer system, possibly resulting in the need for repairs, foul odors or sanitary sewer overflows.
