City of Waco Solid Waste Services is working with residents to inform them of our ordinances for the trash carts. We encourage every resident to follow the ordinances so that we can continue to provide cart collection safely, cost effectively and keep our city clean!

To explain further:
Unbagged waste – The City of Waco Ordinance regarding litter and bagging requires residents to bag and securely tie all waste and trash before putting it into the grey trash cart. This prevents wind-blown litter and minimizes attraction of flies, other insects and animals.
Overloaded cart - The City of Waco Ordinance requires residents to put all bagged waste and trash into the city-issued grey trash cart. This helps prevent attraction of flies, other insects and animals.
Personal Trash container - The City Waco Ordinance requires residents to place all bagged waste and trash into the city-issued grey trash cart. Personal trash containers are not designed for collection by city trash trucks.
Bagged trash on the ground - The City Waco Ordinance requires residents to place all bagged waste and trash into the grey trash cart. Collecting waste outside of the cart is an extra service where you may be charged a $10 fee on your trash service for a second, or more occurrence. To request a second trash cart please complete this form. A second trash cart is available for $4 per month.
