PARKS & RECREATION

OVERVIEW

In 2017, City Council and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board adopted the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan, with community input from more than 3,000 surveys. Plan priorities included park development and improvement, health and fitness and life enrichment.

The It Starts In Parks initiative focuses on several upcoming projects for Waco’s neighborhoods, cultural and historical attractions and future city developments.
