Welcome to our Community!

We provide Central Texas with the chance to explore the great outdoors, enjoy an active life and join with neighbors at community events. To register for a program or rent a park facility, give us a call at (254) 750-5980!

Closures: Due to water releases from upstream dams, the Brazos and Bosque rivers are on the rise and flowing very rapidly. The boat ramps at Brazos Park East are currently closed, along with sections of the downtown riverwalk, until further notice. Please be careful as you head out into the parks and areas along the river. We expect the conditions to continue for the next few weeks.

Our Athletics Department Has Moved! The City of Waco's Athletics Division has moved to the Hart-Patterson Track and Field Complex, located at 501 S. 32nd St., Waco, Texas, 76711. For questions, call (254) 750-5875.

Brazos Nights (6/14 & 7/04): The City of Waco’s annual concert series will continue on Friday, June 14 in downtown Waco. Headlining the event is country soul singer Charley Crockett, a bluesman with Texas roots and some New Orleans flavor. Crockett's unique approach to American roots music — a mix of Texas blues, classic country and Cajun soul — has earned him an audience on both sides of the Atlantic. Last year, Rolling Stone said Crockett’s Lonesome As A Shadow was one of the “25 Best Country and Americana albums of 2018.” Also taking the stage that evening is Houston-based Americana singer, Thomas Csorba, and southern rock and roll band, Quaker City Night Hawks. The free show begins at 7 p.m. at Indian Spring Park. The concert also includes great food, sponsor booths and an arts and crafts area.

The concert series will conclude with the annual Fourth on the Brazos celebration on Thursday, July 4 at Touchdown Alley, next to Baylor’s McLane Stadium. Presented by H-E-B, more than 15,000 people celebrate the Fourth of July with live music, family fun and the H-E-B Fireworks Extravaganza.
