Are you paying too much for your energy bill? The City of Waco has partnered with Texas Power Switch, a program designed to ensure its residents have access to affordable electricity rates.

The City of Waco does not receive any compensation for informing residents about this program.

There’s no cost or strings attached to sign up. It’s a simple way to see if you can lower your energy bill. Texas Power Switch also offers a free ‘Compare Your Bill’ service that allows you to upload your current energy bill and see how much you could save by switching to one of our providers. We have saved our participants an average of $885 on energy costs over 36 months. Join thousands of other Texans making the switch!

How does it work?

1. Register: You can register at TexasPowerSwitch.com/Waco by October 22 to start saving on your energy bill. Registration is free and without obligation.
2. Auction: On October 22 qualified energy providers will compete in an auction. The more people who sign up, the better our deal will be.
3. Personal offer: You will receive an offer that includes personalized estimated savings from the program. At this point, you will also have the chance to get a free bill comparison!
4. You decide: You will have until December 4 to decide if you want to accept the offer. If you are currently in a contract and it ends between November 1, 2024 and January 28, 2025, we can schedule a switch for you without incurring an Early Termination Fee. Be sure to include your contract end date on your registration.
5. Switch: If you accept the offer, we’ll take care of the switch so you can sit back and relax.
