Where Can I Find My Lost and Found Items?

Articles left on vehicles can be claimed by calling Waco Transit at (254) 750-1613 or by dropping by our office at 301 S. 8th Street  Monday - Saturday: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

 

Where Can I Find a Printed Map?

You can find printed maps at the Waco Transit dispatch office.

 

Where can I catch the bus?

Buses typically arrive at the terminal 5 minutes after every hour.

 

What are the hours for fixed route buses?

Monday - Friday: 5 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Saturday: 6 a.m. - 8 p.m.

 

Are all Waco Transit Vehicles ADA Accessible?

All Waco Transit vehicles are ADA accessible and are equipped with either a wheelchair lift or ramp. If you believe special assistance will be needed please call the Waco Transit dispatch office at (254) 750-1613.

 

Can I Listen to my Music Devices?

Headphones are required for all devices that play music or make continual noises.

 

Other Information:

  • Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms: Alcohol, tobacco products, and weapons are not permitted on the Waco Transit vehicles. Issues that occur on Waco Transit vehicles are dealt with by local authorities.
  • Food and Drink: Open food and drink are not allowed on the Waco Transit vehicles.
  • Rain, Sleet, or Snow: Even in extreme weather the Waco Transit will make every attempt to run its routes. However, safety is our priority both to our passengers and our operators. When service runs in extreme conditions time schedules may be altered in the interest of safety. The status of the fixed route service can be checked by calling (254) 750-1613.

 

How many carry-on items am I allowed to bring on the Bus?

You are allowed to carry only what you can carry on and store within the area in which you are seated in one trip. Multiple trips to carry on items will not be permitted. For those in wheelchairs or motorized scooters, the same basic rules apply; load in one trip and maintain all items within the wheelchair or motorized device. Large unsecured packages, such as grocery bags may create a hazard both for passengers and  the operator. Please understand that carry-on packages are still allowed on board the bus but it is important that reasonable limits be placed on their size and quantity. Portable oxygen equipment and portable respirators are permitted on the bus. Operators will assist you in securing this equipment on the bus. Operators are not permitted, however, to assist you in using this equipment. If you need assistance with portable life support equipment, please arrange to bring a qualified attendant along with you.

 

Are Pets Allowed on the Bus?

Pets and service animals are welcome to ride the bus. Passengers using a service animal or bringing a pet on board are responsible for the animal and may be held liable for the behavior and actions of the animal. Pets and service animals regardless of training or certification may be denied transportation if the animal is out of control and you do not take effective action to control it or whose behavior poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others. Pets must be contained /restrained (leash, kennel, box, etc..)

 

Does Waco Transit Make Change on the Bus?

Waco Transit does not make change on the bus, if you enter the bus without the correct change we can give you a change card that you can use on your next trip with Waco Transit (this card will not be replaced with cash). Bus Fares One way Trip – $1.50 Day Pass - $3 Monthly Pass - $40
